“The beams of the gingerbread house are licorice sticks, cemented with taffy, weatherboarded with gingerbread, and coated with caramel. Peppermint-stick chimneys sprout randomly from its chocolate roof and its windows are laced with meringue. Oh, what a house! and the best thing of all is the door.” —Robert Coover, from “The Gingerbread House” in Pricksongs & Descants.
Yeah, when I saw those heads my first thought was, they’re going to pop up and start shouting obscenities at me. Too many scary movies as a kid.
Glad you liked the shot. Best wishes.
There’s something inordinately fascinating about mannequin and doll heads, perhaps by the thought/fear they may move (inborn by horror movies). Nicely shot.
Thanks, Richard. Very generous comment.
Fantastic, iconic image, Chris.
