I took these shots a few Saturdays ago at the University District Farmers’ Market here in Seattle. The guy in “The Weight” I followed around for a while. He was a mass of contemplation, like something carved from rock, absolutely captivating, so I borrowed the title from The Band’s classic song. In contrast, the old woman in “The Choice” was a free spirit, cloud-like. We talked for five minutes about winter squash.
